Psilomelane refers to a group of black barium manganese oxide minerals very similar to and difficult to distinguish from each other, and often occuring together. These minerals include hollandite, cryptomelane, romanechite and pyrolusite, with traces of potassium.
Psilomelane helps us become conscious of suppressed emotional and behavioral patterns and allows us to change these patterns for the better. It also balances our masculine and feminine energies and facilitates meditative and trance states.
Psilomelainbe is said to facilitate astral travel and psychic ability, and to enhance communication with nature spirits.
